Ive checked most of those when i was over there and no 114. I might have found some in medford but only in drums. $522 a drum, Ouch!

Is that a 55gallon drum? So they want 9.44 a gallon?

C14 is pretty nice stuff -

Motor Octane: 114
Specific Gravity: .696 at 60 Degrees

Here's the description: Recommneded for naturally aspirated engines operating at over 8000 RPMS with CRs of 14:1 and over in drag race cars, 4 stroke drag race motorcycles, snowmobiles, and PWCs (230 PSI or higher). Spec fuel for NHRA Comp. Eliminator.

Nice fuel, but kinda pricey - and I thought I was the octane hog around here running C12.

Im not so much concerned with the price as I am with the octane. I would rather have more than enough than be close to the edge. Im really not wanting to start the whole argument again. My understanding is that I shouldnt lose power with too much octane. I just want to be on the safe side. Will C-12 still be over kill at 13:1 on a 25 shot?

Keith,

Actually I think with those specs you are very safe. Far be it from me to recommend a lower octane! Since you are at sea level, that makes it more crucial. Also, your system is a little different - and I dont want to start anything either - So I will simply say that you are indeed thinking ahead.

You've got your gauge - put that baby as close as you can to 14.7 and hold on. Hats off to the guy that thinks hard about tuning.
