Have been on some trails where I had to break the trail, hardly any problems. I wouldn't sacrifice the extra comfort and hill climbing ability of the longer wheel base for anything. I would buy the max all over again for sure. The extra storage compartment is really nice too.

It's really not that bad. After a while you kind of learn to anticipate the difficult spots. It becomes second nature.

The Wife and I love our 400 Max. We'll never go back to a single seater again.

It takes a little getting used to, but while your getting used to it the fenders are very forgiving!!

None of them except the new limited are near 11,000. The 650's are well below that, even with the XT package which I would highly recommend getting. Also, add skid plates as soon as you get whatever machine captures your attention.

2 more question guys. is the steering pretty light nimble easy to control? after i shattered my arm & wrist on my dirtbike it will never be the same so i cant wrestle a bear anymore. i'm leaning closer to 650 max, 8' of wheel base should'nt kill me on tight trails, i've read they turn really tight anyway. but does anyone know what kind of fuel mileage the max gets or how far on a tank? thanks

It's not like they're huge , I think they are only 8' longer than the one seater. When your driving you won't be able to tell the difference between it and a one seater, plus the ride is a little better I believe.

No offence intended, but it's kind of funny when I hear Americans complain about the price of these ATVs -- you guys have it sooooo good. I got a really good deal on my 400 Max XT and it was still $10,000 -- $11,400 with tax, but still worth every dime.

I almost had to fight a bear last nite...lol I was at my brothers work visiting and we left our boots outside . We came out 1hr later we discovered that one of my brothers boots were missin. A guy workin there walked by and was warnin us of a black bear nearby that he just seen 15min ago. That answer's the boot problem?!?!
