Default 1st Annual "Midwest Sandblast"

Event: Flat sand drags

Classes: 9 classes - 2 stroke, 4 stroke, Utility, Kids

Location: 2miles south of Central City Ne on highway 14 on the Platte River Bottom

Winings: As of know Trophies

Sponsor: "The Ski-doo Shop" in Polk Nebraska

Fee: $2.00 entrence fee or $10.00 to race

When: August 20th

This is the 1st annual "Midwest Sandblast". We decided to put on this race in hopes of some day possibly being a "BIG" race. To my knowledge there is no organized sand drags in the Midwest other than the Jamboree. We are still ironing out the details such as Trophies, how big and how many. We are also trying to come up with a timing system. The track will be groomed with a Bobcat Skidsteer. It will be a 300ft race with plenty of shut down space. The location is a very good setup for sand drags.

We would for sure like your input. Whos interested, whos got questions, what are we missing, what can we do to make this more appealing, etc etc.
