Vision,
I was talking about the Raptor and all the problems they are having with it. As far as the 4-stroke wars go. I have great respect for Banshees. They have gone unchanged for a reason! They're bad 2-strokes . My friend has a 2001 model Banshee and we dragged a few times. All he has done to it is a boost bottle and filter so far. I'm only beating him by about 2 1/2 to 3 bike lenghts. When he pipes it I better watch out!! Although he does have alot better sand tires then me. I have them crappy V paddles which are getting ready to be sold for some Hauler straight paddles.

I must say the Ds650 is a bad machine, I had the chance to race a few at glamis as well as stock banshees. Not starting a war and not bashing but i beat the ds up comp hill by almost a quad length and i give respect to bomber a heavier quad less displacement and still did what it did. Well done bomber. But i did race a modified ds on my banshee. We all know the outcome of that lol. I did beat the stock banshees also so you guys can go brag about that.

When I was riding this weekend racing the Banshee, the valves were tapping pretty bad. Last night I checked the valve clearance and wow!! One of the intake valves was being held open .002" all the time. Talk about losing compression!!! And my exhaust valves were way out of limits at .012" gap. So I re-shimmed them all at .006" so that should make on heck of a differance. I'm taking it to get dyno'd on Saturday. This guy dyno'd a completely stock DS at 38 horses on his dyno machine. Also the plugs are running rich.

did i read your post right? you raced a stock DS and only beat it by(almost)a bike? i figured you would have blown it away.the reason i say this is i have both bikes and i guess i just didnt expect the DS to run that good or were you holding back? how bad did you beat the modded DS?
