Another weird sound
#1
My ds650x is having another problem. It makes a sound in the rear now, almost like it is the swing arm wear it connected to the sub frame.I figured that the swing arm needs to articulate but this is ridiculous! It rides fine but makes a sound when i move side to side.Like the swing arm is piviting, wich i think is normal, but the sound is not normal.Makes me whant to go back to polaris, honda, at least they werent so mechanicly loud.Is this normal.im mechanicly inclined so ANY suggestions will help.I can feel it in the pegs almost when i throw my weight around(i know im a fat a** but man it bugs me).Help please.THANK YOU! Are you sure it isnt your shock squeeking? Make sure pivot bolt is tightened to spec if its not the "normal" squeek of the rear shock. If its too loud then jump ship and go with polaris, honda etc.

No prob man..
It MIGHT be your rear axle bearings or loose back there possibly. If its under warrantee than make em re grease it all. But the big stock shocks always have had a squeek.. Hey, My bike doesnt make a sound... Then again I cant hear anything once it fires up anyways.lol
I know the little sounds bother some of us, But thats what comes with the most "robust" Stock chassis available. I just had to use that word for a few people.

Yeah ill make them i really dont like my dealer but they dont like me .They took the tires off my quad before i bought it and i t sat for 1 year withought tires then they advertised it i went too look at it quess what it had no tires in the crate. putting it up for sale without tires? You dont looking for cars without tires. So i had 2 wait almost 4 weeks after i put the down payment on it.Why would they advertise it withought it all being there, good thing i wasnt in a hurry.

Check and make sure you still have a jamb nut on that swing arm pivot. It shouldn't have come off yet but maybe they forgot to put it on. Ya never know. If it doesn't have the Jamb nut than that will loosen up the other nut and it will feel like the swingarm is going back and forth.
I hope that is your only problem Jamb nuts are cheap but I would make them give you one.

well it could be that the lugs on the tires aren't very tight and you hear the rims hitting against the hubs or it could just be that the axle bearings have come loose or one of them is shot...Just check everything in the rear and make sure its tight
