I never have, but I read about others and bought a vented cap from ODP. I really like the fit, and o I know it will not happen.

I cut and plugged my hose and run a vented cap... absolutly no problems. After I saw the vent hose smashed and starting to clog I got rid of it so I didn't run into the problem you are talking about. Good luck!

Cut the hose down to about 2inchs and you wont have any problems.
Just dont overfill your tank or you got a mess.I never understood why it had to be 6ft
long and wrap around the tank five times.

Default gas tank problem

pugads650 after 5 years with my ds i started having the the same problems 3 days ago, the only way to restart the bike was to take off the gas cap, I was going to post something today pretaing to a vented cap. I know there was a thread concerning this a while back, just can't remember when?
