Default carb flooding

Maybe im asking to much outta my ds, but here goes. I pulled the ds up in first and let it go back and rest on the rack, when this happens it sputters and quits. Then i let it back down and its hard to start. pretty sure its flooding itself out. does your guys ds flood out when resting on back grab bar? is there a fix for this as sometimes it ruins a good wheelie?

Default carb flooding

Well, if it was sitting on its back rack, and the fuel was flowing, it would be running out the back into the filter. So if thats the case, check to make sure the filter isnt full of fuel. The other thing is, the carb isnot designed to be at a 90 degree angle. No carb is. While doing wheelies, your usually at like a 45 degree angle. So I wouldnt worry to much. If while doing the wheelies it goes back onto the rack, just jump up and push it down, and dont let it sit like that for long.

The only solution would be to lower the float level. That is easy to do. Just need to drop the float bowl, remove the float pin, take the floats, needle and seat out. Take the metal part that holds the needle and seat, and bend it a little towards the needle. Dont move it alot, just a little. Put it back together, and see if it works.

Good luck.
