Need Help Quick!!!!
#1
My friend and I are dropping in the cams on his new LTZ470 and I called the local shop to find out if they had any assembly lube, and they told me that they just use regular engine oil. Does everyone do it that way or is assembly lube a must... I've always heard that you had to use assembly lube initially. Anyone???????

FatHolley,
I do not know the LTZ, but if the cams do not have rollers on the lobes I would use assembly lube. I woudl not hesitate to use automotive assembly lube and I would think any speed shop worth a lick would have some.
