I had alot of fun that weekend. It was a pleasure racing Scooby. Hopefully get a chance to go at it again soon.

Dave, I just realized you said you moved to MSP. You know your only a 3 hour drive or less from alot of our drag events we attend. Just to throw out some cities, Boscobel, Burr Oak, Mauston, Janesville, Lodi all in Wisconsin. Also, there is an event in Houston ME. We would really love to have ya kicking some ars with us. None of these events are huge by any means, and most just give out small trophies, but we are working on getting a points series started for next year.

Later,

Gary

Gary, Thanks for the info on the Wisconsin drag events, they are not too far away. It was fun racing someone who could keep up for a change! Just wish there were more bikes to race, especially 2-strokes. I have no idea when I'll be able to get out and ride again due to my relocation. In the future I'm looking into a 4-cylinder quad, maybe a ZX-10 turbo.

BigDaddy331, I was running a stock cylinder bored to 105.0mm with a JE shelf piston machined down flat to 9.4:1. The head is stock. The cams are stock, intake cam retarded one tooth to reduce overlap and improve upper RPM power. Woods HD valve springs w/extra shim. Stock bottom end. Lightened flywheel gear and flywheel hub. Projected tip NGK spark plugs, 8 temperature range. Vortex ignition custom programmed with 11,000RPM limit, hobbs pressure switch automatically switches to one of 10 curves once boost comes up. 39 degrees timing off boost (with +5 degree magnetic pickup mount). EFI with TWM twin 40mm throttle body. Two 160lb/hr alcohol injectors. BMW F650GS voltage regulator. 9 disc kevlar clutch with custom 125lb clutch springs. Clutch hub is drilled adding extra holes for better oil flow (cooling) to clutch plates. Chassis has been lowered a couple inches. +8" amercian star swingarm. Elka rear shock. TCS front shocks. Timmyboy adjustable a-arms. 17/36 gearing. 25x12x9 14-paddle extremes. Fast spooling Garrett GT22 turbo (exhaust A/R 0.67) with no intercooler - intercooler adds restriction and slows system response. Turbo is positioned to keep post compressor volume to a minimum (aside from the required plenum volume) which helps with system response. Large 2.5" inside diameter "cherry bomb" exhaust pipe keeps back pressure very low improving system response and peak HP. As for the HP probably ~120+ at wheels depending on boost.
