You can take all the "shootouts" and put them in one bucket and you won't have beans.

Sand needs HP and the Outie has a bunch. My std Outie 800 smokes a good number of sport bikes, including a built Z400 that runs with us. It will climb anything you have a mind to and with paddles I can't think of anything to stop it. Have fun.

I've only been in the sand twice, so maybe I'm ignorant of the notion I should have problems with the 26" Carlisle ACT's. To answer you question, I went where others went no problem.

No jumping the 1000 lb bike with me on it, but landing on a decline on soft sand, I should have tried it. Next year after Memorial Day, I'll go back and try jumping. These are some pretty good size dunes in nw Colorado outside of Walden.

Sorry to take so long getting back, I have been riding up in the Colorado mountains this past few days.

To answer your question, I have a few different sets but they are all skats and cost anywhere from 110-140 each.

Here are a few of my Twin peaks 800 with front paddles.

Ya, but they don't help much in this position.

Or this one.

The front paddles seem to be working ok here.

They are all 4 digging here

To be honest, I do not think they really do much good if any, having raced both with and without front paddles, I do not see much difference in what I can and can't out run. That said my front paddles are molded GBC 25"/8/12's. They were the only 8" wide 12's I could find. I am thinking of sending Skat some OE dunlapper to have shaved and paddles put on. That does get a bit pricey and takes a long time to ge them back, but they would be much lighter and skats grip allot bettrer than molded paddle tires.
