I feel soooo bad for his family, if you ever watched the show ,you could honestly tell that they really did care about the animals and mother nature,He is one of the people that I really wanted to meet in my lifetime,I will miss him , but will surley keep watching his show. God bless his family.

I always liked him, and a lot of people had fun trying to do the same thing he did. He was the original for sure. He even married a gal from Oregon. They even did at least one show from there as well. Steve my man, You went out doing what you loved - and went out quickly. What else can a man ask for?

Could not believe it when I heard the sad news on monday, the premier of his hometown state wants to have a state funeral for him, which involves the whole of his state attending the funeral if they would like to. His father come on the radio and declined the offer and said steve thought he just and ordinary bloke doing what he loved and would not of enjoyed all the fuss.

I agree.

Mess with a bull, ya get a horn.

Mess with a stingray, ya get a barb.

Sad but its true.

Great guy and had a love for life and the outdoors you dont see very often. I saw a clip of his daughter earlier in the year and she sounded alot like him. The same excitment for like as her father.

I have to say I most remember the time he was getting so close to the kamoto dragons it was crazy. Especially when they chased him up a tree. Those guys are deadly
