You had a plus 4 swingarm before?? Are you going shorter with the wheelie bar or longer??

Im thinking my +6 with a wheelie bar isnt going to be the best route. But we will find out. What paddles are you running??
I a going with a lighter +4. I have been running ultra lite 25 with 10 paddles not for sure where I am going to end up with the wheely bar.

Drakester that thing will be a beast with a wheeley bar. You should be mid 4s easy. Ive got a few things going for the clash. Most of which are just cutting weight on the DS. We need to hook up and do some testing at the river before the clash. Me, you, Raw and Wennison need to plan a trip. Let me know if I can help you out with anything. This Clash is gonna be good. Lots of fast YFZs as always and some fast Raptors of course. We gotta give the DSs a good showing. The HP is getting crazy

You got that right Meaner. If there was ever a time the DS Community needed to come together to make us all proud, its at this event. There is no doubt that we will be greatly out numbered. We need to pull from every resource available to get it done. I cant wait.

PS: A little birdy on the wall told me the Spiderbike is strapped to the dyno doing heat cycles.........

Well my next build is still in my head but it will become a reality as soon as the funds are available.I have learned quite a bit the last few years about what it takes to have a very fast DS and that will be my goal.As it is now i have a stock bore that does well at the drag hill and really performs for duning so it will remain unchanged. My next motor will have all the best components and high compression and very aggressive porting done by the same builder that did my stock and that should be a very good combination.I still believe that a properly built DS can be a real contender on the drag hill if it is done right.

This thing even has custom graphics that say 1000R that cover the 700R on the Yellow & Black SE decals. It literally looks like a model Yamaha would build from the factory.

I will be breaking it in this weekend. I will give a report when I get back.
Where is the report?

My next build should be done in a few days, finally. It will sport an 11.5-1 piston, little web cams, a TM 45, woods drag pipe and CDI all new valves guides and seats--- again. Hope it stays together this time.

It is impressive to me. It passes sound check. It runs on pump premium and it is not something you line up with 4-strokes. You race against 2-strokes on the hill.

I am still trying to get the tire and gearing combo perfect. I haven't found it yet but I am closing in. I can't get optimal hook-up without the front end wanting to come right over. I hate to go bigger than a +10 swingarm but I may have to. I will be ordering a set of 12 paddle rippers but I have to wait 10 weeks for those

The bike handles and rides very nice thanks to the Ohlins suspension.

I am very happy with it.

Impressive looking conversion DSNUT, did you do the conversion yourself?, or did you buy the bike already converted. Looks like a factory fitted engine by the photo's, I have showed a couple of my friends the pic's of your bike and they can't believe the fit and finish. Any overheating issues?, is the stock radiator in use? Do still want to ride any of your other bikes after duning with the 1000R?
