You did not understand me.I said "Bombadier makes more sleds than any thing eles". When they produce just one plane or train, in that same time they produced hundreds of Snowmachies somewhere else. 2 stroke's high rpm and horse power are needed for sleds to go through deep snow.I just can't see a 4 stroke thumper doing the job as well. Some company may start to make a 4 stroke sled but it will never go or start like the 2 stroke ones.

By the way are you sure Rotax is made by Bombadier? I see lots of Rotax motors with" made in Austria" printed on them.

Tim Bombardier is an international company. Rotax is one of their sub-division and if you check Bombardier home page and check out there location worldwide one is in Austria

do you have any clue how slow that redline 4-stroke snowmobile is compared to other sleds?
sure, it looks cool and all, but it only goes like 80mph. thats not very fast for a snowmobile, thats pretty slow actually for one, even the smaller bore 2-stroke sled motors do atleast that ifnot more. Ive seen that Redline 4-stroke V-twin sled in action before, i mean, its awesome and cool, and i wouldnt turn one down if somebody offered me one, but it aint no speeddemon. although I do love the suspension travel on that thing.

and about bombardiers new sport quad, a couple of months ago, on the news, they annouced that they had a new sport quad coming out soon. since I live in quebec canada, anything bombardier does ends up on the news.

With HP numbers like that it should work pretty good. Why does Yamaha,Artic Cat,Ski-doo and Polaris only make 2 strokes? Are 4 strokes to hard to start in the real cold weather?

uhhh so your sayin the revolt 1300 is slow? its 1300 cc 2 stroke and it ways as much as a normal 500. i doubt it is slow but maybe. the 4 strokes are prorlby pretty fast too.

I dont think he is saying the Revolt is slow and its a 2 stroke. But i would think that the 954 with 110 horsepower should run pretty ell.

Two stroke engines are lighter, produce more power per cc, are easier to start in cold weather, are more easily modified, and are less complex to build (and fix if something goes wrong). So for a snowmobile they are superior to four-strokes.

Very true XLR8 but down here in the U.S. we have a government agency called the EPA and they hate all 2 stokes.
