Default Hello All new to DS 650

Hi all, my names Dave, I'm UK based and I've just got my new road legal DS650 X,
I've been reading this forum quite a bit and I know there is a wealth of knowledge on here, which I hope to be calling on in the following few months as I prep my Bomb for a 4000 mile trek across the U.K , France, Switzerland (ALPS), Italy, and down the coast through monacco and finally onto the southern tip of Spain and back to the UK.
I'm hoping to set off in May next year and have put aside 3 weeks for the trip.
I, will be looking for top speed and reliability mods as well as longer range fuel tanks etc to cut down on stops and some unique storage ideas I think will be needed.
I just thought I would say hello and tell you my plans and if anybody is interested i will post up some pics as I carry out my mods.
Also any tips that you guys think I may need that I am yet unaware of would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers, Dave.

Wow!!!! Thank sounds great, I would really like to see the pics from that trip.. The longest trip I have taken was 1 week in Colorado, Silvteron to be exact. Our mods consisted of racks to hold extra 1 gallon gas cans, and small ice chest for food. Good luck with the adventure. How many people going with ya?

You might consider putting on a twist throttle, it will be easier on your hand/wrist. Rockymountain atv sells em for about $35. Me and the wife both ride with a twist throttle.
