stupid cavone won't start
#1
ok so i finally put her all back together, if you dont know i had problems with the front sprocket and carb. Well before i started it ran just not perfect and now it doesnt run. I replaced the diaphragm in the carb and put in a 175 jet cleaned it and all and now when i try to start it, all it does is turn the engine. One time i got it to fired up for like 5 seconds then it quit, now the only time i can get it to start is with started fluid, but once it burns that up, its back to nothing. i charged the battery and even used the charge to help start. It turns good and the starter fluid has no problem but when i try it normally nothing. Any ideas?

sounds like no gas.Make sure fuel is getting to the carb.
After that you will have to check everything again. If it was running
before a simple jet and slide change wouldnt stop it grom running.

Agreed make sure that the float isn't stuck or damaged when messign with the carb and make sure the diaphragm is seated correctly I would take the carb apart and make sure everything is correct and that the lines are set up right going onto the carb(intake tubes and other hoses) Also make sure that you have gas and the petcock is on.

Alright guys, got her back in order, i dont know what it was but it just so happened to work shortly after i turned the res fuel on. I dont like the idea of having that constantly on but ohh well. I also had throttle problems, the choke was off and the idle adjustment screw was out and yet for some reson it still wanted to idle with enough gas that when starting in 1st i didn't need to give it gas to get her rolling. Well i messed with the thumb throttle and finally she is back. thanks for the suggestions though.
