I can feel and see a great increase of the speed with the new exhaust. In Norway is not allowed a exhaust that make a noise of more than the Eu have said, but I like to take chances too :-). We are using the bike only on the public roads, here is not many places where we can drive without to get in troubles with the autorities :-(
I bought the complet version og the exhaust, and I have not get more noises after the mounting of that....maybe you can try to see if all pieces are on the right positition?
Sorry for my english too :-D

with the stock gearing and rev limit, the ds250 should be able to go at least 100km/h, i probly done a bit mroe than that on a mountain-like hill.
How much performance do you see when you remove the airbox lid, or get a better air filter.i hope 10% power increase, cuz that is about 1.5-2 hp right?
And how much better do those aftermarket exhausts flow? Would removing the endcap/baffle/spark-arrestor yield similar results, i know it leans out the jetting if you take out the endcap/baffle. So if you rejet, it should see some power gains.
Is it easier to pull wheelies with an aftermarket exhaust? How loud is it? as in DB, i would not want to go over 94-96. Stock is somewhere around 90DB.
I think you should be able to drop 2 teeth in the front sprocket and not lose any top speed, with the stock power, it just can't pull that tall gearing all the way to the rev limiter, unless your going down a mountain.
So what i'm planning to do it find some smaller tires with aluminum rims, to increase acceleration and reduce weight.
Is an aftermarket exhaust available for the ds250 in CANADA?? I would not really like to ship one all the way from the southern parts of the United States, because that would probably add another 50$$ in shipping (unless shipping is free for purchases over 100$$, which some companies offer.)

Thanks! I will put more pics in at weekend.
Today i put a GPS with me... and what should i say.. wow wow wow .. my speedometer is crap
speedometer says ca. 71 - 72 Km/h max. GPS says 84 - 86 Km/h.
Without the noise limiter on the exhoust - GPS says 92 Km/h. (all on standard flat road)
I checked today also the installation of the exhoust.. hmm all parts on the right position.. hmm
the noise i told is still there. but only in stop position. not when i drive.
it is such a quiet sizzles which sounds itself as it would swallow itself ..
it does not sound itself also dully/mustily. rather like a 50ccm engine .. not great..
it is however away if I the noise limmiter is remove.
it is this ?ring? with the original thereby is nevertheless however correct and as seal does not serve not to begin? also would not fit.
how is with the lid? is there already a part on market?
And please tell me, what is this "rev limiter"?

the rev limiter is a limit on how high/how many RPM the engine can do. If you are not scared to do this, (your engine COULD blow up) put the ds250 in neutral, and just hold it at FULL THROTTLE until it will not "rev" higher and the engine starts making funny noises (indication that it bounces off the stock RPM limiter.)
Stock RPM "rev" limit is 8600revolutions per minute.
Does anyone have a --digital inductive tachometer-- P/N 529 014 500, you should ask your dealer if you can take use it while driving full throttle at maximum speed on (on a down hill on pavement or good gravel road) CHECK AND SEE IF YOU ACTUALLY REACH 8600 RPM, i doubt that it would on a stock machine.
Its really cool when you think about it, that a part in the engine spins around 143 times per second when you are going full throttle.
