Default ds 650 mods

Ok.... I'm not an idiot when it comes to mech. stuff. But first offl Is 05 ds 650x fuel injected... I dont think so...but confused...

Second. What minor mods. do you guys recomment.. Under $1500.... Dont want to change engine internals, at least no until it blows up....lol....

What gains would I expect from these Mods.
I believe from searching, the stock hp rateing is around 44

To answer your question No.And some good mods are a k&n witch you already got,end cap or a (HMF) slip-on.You could do alot for 1500.Carbs and stuff like that. But a port job even though you dont want to mess with internals.I f you ride trails drop a tooth on your front sprocket. To make it easy you could do a search for ds mods. You should get mile long pages on the subject.

I just did a 46HV Lectron, ported intake, endcap, TwinAir PowerFlow, and clutch on my 04-X for just over a grand and very happy with the improvement and results from this. Awesome gains!

Yes, you will have to rejet for a new exhaust. For stock carb mods look

here.

The mods that DubaiPolaris suggested are a very good way to go.Along with those mods i would suggest going to a 520 chain conversion and aluminum sprocket for another good gain. You may also want to consider getting a CDI with a higher rev limit to take full advantage of your mods.
