starting

Default starting

I haveing a problem starting my ds. I have to spend the motor for like 30 mins or so(untill motor is hot) before it will even try to start.Once it starts and warms up,will start every time i hit starter.Anyone have any ideas>?

Has noone had this problem??Mabey adjusting the valves will do it?Have no clue how to do it or where to get the shims..

I would have to say that the valves need to be adjusted, also putting the choke on doesn't help it start any easier. You can pick up the shims at a local bomb dealer just tell them the size you want.

I would replace the plugs too while your at it....

Yes

I have had this problem myself before and have seen it in other DS's. The bike needs to have the valves adjusted. If you are comfortable you can do it yourself - search valve adjustment on here I am sure it has been covered a couple of time. Otherwise take it to a dealer, it will run you about $200-300 bucks to have it done.
