Modified Motor Longevity?

Modified Motor Longevity?
I would like to hear from any one you has modified there internal motor by high compression piston, cams, and has used the same items consisantly for 3 years straight and ask what you have had done and what make are these items.
I ask because it seems people keep changing and upgrading parts from 11 to 1 to 14 to 1 pistons, switching cams from mild to wild so there is no knowing how long these items can hold up, so please speak up.

Modified Motor Longevity?
I have a Pami 760 that has been through Jeff, AZsand and Duneme and I ran some 4.8s, under paddled and in the cold on alky, all motor. I also was running some brand new Shaws and the rear was jacked up in the air oh and no bar. Now I know that motor is tired so Im excited to run her with a wheelie bar and my suspension dialed in. I felt like that was fast for a tired motor. I also have a stock bore with a 14/1 HPR piston and HPR3 cams that Ive been running for about 2 yrs. Now dont get me wrong I can only run at the most once a month and sometimes not that but I do my maintenence very regular. I just love my Bombs

Modified Motor Longevity?
I have an '01 bought new in january of '01, coming up on 6 years old.
It was ran one year stock,
then 4 years with 11.5:1 and RWR cdi with NO rev limit, which I have willingly and repeatedly pushed to the ragid edge
running most of the past year on 14:1, ***** to the wall.
I average around 100 hours of motor time a year, I had an hour meter the first 3 years but when it died I never replaced it, no way to put mileage to it but its been thousands.
The only time the motor has ever been worked on or opened up is when I did the mods the 2 times - once for the 11.5:1 and once for the 14:1 - never any issues in between.
In this time period of 6 years, I've gone through only 2 clutches (she's a trail bike and duner, not much drags) and replaced the intake valves with OEM's when I opened her the last time for the 14:1 install simply because they were starting to cup and I like to proactive and take care of stuff before its on its last leg.
My motor works hard too, I'm 6'08" and 260 pounds and run her hard every ride.

Over 150 veiws and only 1 responce?? I thought there were some RWR and TVI motors that have been running for some time??

Words right out of my mouth. . .
Replace the valve springs every other year.
If you run a very aggressive set of cams, every year.
Cam springs are cheap. . . a new head all ported out with larger valves is EXPENSIVE.
Cam Springs are cheap insurance.
That is going to be the biggest maint. item.
A big bore Pami 760 like Meaner has and like I have. . . same thing. . . cam springs because we have aftermarket cams.
The big-bore itself may go through a piston every 4yrs (guess).
I'll honestly be suprised if I own this bike in another two years when the piston will probably be due for a change-out.
Who knows, still love the power and comfort of this bike and haven't found anything that comes close to this combo. Nothin' better than dunin' a 760 DS from what I've seen so far.

I have several friends with three year old tvi's and a few Ron woods hi comp engines too.I think its all in the maintanance.The pami meaner is running has seen 20% nitro on a consistent basis.I think the ones you find having good luck are the ones that listen to there builders.Maintain there bikes.And are commited to running preformance motors.
