People make me ANGRY.
I hate it when people always seem to bad mouth the ds's trail ability.When utility's are no wider but there "made" for the trails.What kind of S*it is that.I do just find in the tight trails with my dads 700 polaris.And its wider than my ds.I can turn around much faster than he can also.Alittle bit of throttle and im turned around.I see raptors on trails and they do fine and arent much smaller width than mine.Is that what there complaining about the width of the ds or is it something else?If so tell me because ive never had a problem.So you so called "trail quads" our ds's can handle plenty of trails.Any other opinions on this accusation buy many ds haters.

its all about the rider!!
any quad can be trail ridden...hell i bet even a drag banshee could be trail ridden wit the right rider...
dont worry about what other people say about what your quad can or cant do, ITS YOUR QUAD!!! u know more about it than some dick on the internet....

You cant control other people(thoughts and actions), and they cant control you. If youre getting angry,you did it, not them.
You are the only person who can control your emotions. Check out all that is said about pres bush..you dont see him go on tilt..and those are personal attacks on him..and youre talking about a dispariging remark towards a chunk of metal.
Its only words and the sooner you learn how to deal with opinions that upset you, the better your life will become.
Most people just ignore comments that upset them, because by responding and going on tilt, just encourages more of the same. You know how it is...when someone knows your trigger, they just keep pulling it. Learn to shrug it off, for now, and practice verbal exchanges with your buds. It wont be long and youll be aware when someone is yanking your chain, and know how to respond...usually you just figure out their triggers, and you fire right back at their weak area. Its a life skill, which isnt taught in school.

the older model ds's are wider and longer than the new ones, and have a wider turning radius as a result
there is a reason that there are no ds's in GNCC/XC racing. out of 800 quads on a given weekend event, you might maybe see one DS, or two if I happen to show up for it. I'm very tall and the ds is the only quad for me, so if I race on my ds its cause I have to and not because its the best quad for the woods.
yes i can fly in the woods on my ds, and many people can, but those that can would be even faster on a honda or yamaha (unless you are 6'-8" tall), and that's really what the comments stem from. the DS can trail ride yes, but it can't race trails as well as some of the others. but then again, while there are quads that can outlap a DS in the woods, there are plenty of others that can't keep up too, if the ds is in the hands of the right rider.
