Default k@N fiter

i have two 2006 oultlanders an 650 xt and an 800 max xt i had an kandn on my honda forman and on my tratax max but i read somwear that they are not to good for the engin and whould like to know a if its true and what other after marked air fiters are good

K&N filters are fine (this will start a debate). Ive always used them, and never have had a problem. K&N backs up their product very well. But, just to be safe, i carry my stock filter with me, incase it gets real dusty.

We have been using the K&N for over a year now on our DSs. They have worked fine, in both the dust and sand. I hear there is a better filter in the no toil, but I have yet to try it. Just remember to keep up your filter, and use the outerware for it...

well the reason they don't work well on certain quads such as the 450r is because if dirt gets toi the titanium valves then you might as well waste your money on a new engine
