Default renegade.... worth the money?

I am really serious about getting a renegade with in the next 3 or 4 months...but i cannot get past that price tag. For anyone who has ridin or test drove it, is it worth the 9 grand or should i wait for a 800+ kawasaki?

Tough call. BRP is pricing their machines up there.

Two things here. The Kawi will likely cost well over 8 grand if and when they offer a 800, and second if the kawi 800 is offered on the current Brute IRS platform then I would say the Can-am is by far the best way to go. If Kawi starts fresh with a all new IRS platform or uses the SRA platform then I will be taking a real close look at the Kawi too. If they stick a bigger engine in the current BF750i then there is not a chance, I would ever buy the Kawi.

Really? With all the hype about the frames being junk on the Outties, you would think someone would want the Kawi first.

The Renegade is a lot, but all of the big bore ute's are. I'm not unhappy I spent a little more. I almost bought a 650 Brute Force, fortunately I waited until I saw the new Renegade and after I sat on it and rode it around the parking lot twice, I said to the sales guy, "should I just put I on my trailer now?" I'm a sport machine person, but am tired of getting stuck on every rut and big mud puddle I come to, on the other hand, I wanted something snappy and fun without it looking like a small scaled down pick up truck. A Wolverine would be perfect, but I needed more. Think of a Wolverine, on steroids !! It's everything a Wolverine is and can do, but, does it better, faster, snappier and with more style in my opinion. My friends who rode it love it, but it isn't the softest riding maching, in fact over rough terrain, it's pretty rough. Does that help?

Man, I am totally sick of you and your constant jibes and innuendoes about Outys. You are a backdoor basher, one of those guys that say 'Outy is a good quad, but........'.

There has not been one verified case of a weak Outy frame. All of the frame failures have been shown to be the result of wrecks, and the owners trying to get them fixed under warranty. Those are the guys that come onto the forums and bad mouth the frames. Also, guys like you who says 'your buddy' ruined his frame by jumping his bike. I don't believe you.

Just know this: Every time you 'backdoor bash' my quad, and the other guys quads on this forum, I'm going to follow your post with what an Outy hater, on a mission, dude that you are. There might be some people that actually still take you seriously, they need to know where you're coming from.

Kawi: you noticed that too. When a person who doesn't own one makes comments like that they loose all credibility.

Ohh, there all ganging up on me........ If you read any of my other posts, i talk the Outty, and every other quad up in its own departments. There is a thread in the Polaris forum that talks about the Outty having so many problems, and there are Outty owners there also. I personally havnt seen the problems, thats why i called it "Hype". So you two can wipe the tears away, and stop taking things to heart

I am going to try and avoid the personal banter going on in here. However I will say what Kawi said is correct. I am on at least 5 different forums, and he is right, all the frame issues involved wrecks. I have talked with people with many thousands of miles on there Outlanders and 0 frame problems. I have only one machine with over a thousand miles on it and it has had 0 frame issuses. I do not think the frames are week, expensive to repair if crashed maybe, but not any weaker than any other brand. I my own personal experince I have own seen two quad frames ever bent, the 1st was a buddy that bought a old sportsman 500 I use to own, and he let his wife ride it and she crached it into another quad at about 30mph. The second was a Brute that my dad owned that unfortunatley tipped over and went down the side of a mountain, there was not much left of the brute after that. Now if I had been like those tools that were saying the frames were bad when they were really to blame for the damages, then I would be saying the same about the 2 makes that I just mentioned. Accedents happen frames get broke on all brands it happens guys, another reason to make sure you insure your quads.
