Default DS650 oil change question.

I did the first oil change on the DS and I figured that the owners manual would have the torque spec's for the oil drain bolt and the oil filter cover, but it didnt. Does anyone know if I can find torque spec's for my 07' DS online?

Thanks

well on my 01 the plug I just tighten it until I can't tighten it anymore and make sure it's not loose...and I just tighten the cover by a ratchet...Did you make sure you drained out the jug underneath the headlight also.

Yes, I did drain out the jug underneath the headlight too. What a big mess I made! I just wasnt prepared for oil to come out so fast from that little hole. I'll know better next time.

that jug is a mess!!!! i modified mine to make it not messy. i removed the plug & installed a small brass ball valve with a hose that goes to the bottom of the frame. open the valve & drain into your pan. cut the handle down on the valve so you have to use pliers or a wrench to open it so nothing can fly up inside that area & open it on accident.

What I found to be a little cleaner when draining the jug is that if you use funnels to give the oil a path it makes it alot cleaner.

yeah, but the best way is to get the valve, as mentioned before. take that drain plug to a nut and bolt shop, or hardware store, and try to match it up with a ball valve

there is also quickdrain kits available at any automotive store...you'll just have to find a way to get from the size thread from the kit to your oil tank. I found mine at a nut an bolt house here in town.
