I know you are. Im not saying that your being that way. I was just making a joke about how these threads usually end up.

You mean if I tell him the Poo 800 (760cc) can't get close enough to even tell if it were a 650 or 800 Outlander that just waxed it arz.LOL

LOL.....now that is funny. Hey cc1999, do you still have your prairie/twin peaks that's hopped up? If so, how does it compare to all your new quads for top speed and quickness?

Ya, I still have it. Its being rebuilt right now. The FST800 was about the same as a piped Outlander 800 or piped Renegade 800. Its going to have a 4 wheel drive V-force hybrid bottomend/cvt trans, with a Fundy 800 top end, Fundy race cams, JH machine custom clutch, MS intake mod for now, plan on adding 36mm carbs in the future. It should be quite a bit faster in the future.

WOW, that sounds like a rocket. Man, when you get that thing running, get some videos of it running against your other quads and let us see it. I hate the fact that kawie is not making the 700 prairie any more. I had one and would love to get another. Anyway, let us know how it turns out.

Well , there is always the BF650 with the SRA. It has much better plastic than the P700/P650/TP700 ever had. You can still trick them out and bump them up to 800cc's 900cc's , what ever you want these days. But the reality of it is the Can-ams are worth every penny IMO. They run like highly modified Kawi's and are as comforatable as sportsmans and with the dual swingarms or trailing arm design the Can-am's can still play like a SRA prairie or BF.

Thanks is very good to know coming from someone who has both kawies and can-ams. I have been leaning towards getting a can-am. I like my bf750 and mostly b/c of the power. But, I don't like the ride, bump steer and the tallness. The only reason I sold my 700prairie for the bf750 was for the IRS and ground clearance. Yes I gained the ground clearance, however, the bump steer of the front end and the "squirly ride of the IRS are a bothersome.

If getting a can-am, what do you think between the 800 and 650? Is the 800 worth the extra money?

Every penny

If you like power, never cut corners on the new machine, because as soon as you get use to the power you will want more, and it will cost you way more than the initial cost diference in the 2 to get it up there. I was talking with a guy on another forum who was trying to make his 650 into a 800. Its going to cost him more than twice as much than if he had bought the 800 to begin with.

i drive a polaris and the handel great because their the widths and heavier quads made. as for having cheap racks i dont think they do my magnum 325 had three 250lb people on their and drove 200 yards to the job site. now this is what i think polaris is not good for tight trails their wide and my quad is about foot smallier front and sides then the 800 sportsman. but they handel great and i heard of people pulling 24ft trailers with a car or 2 on them with no problem but my 325 can doit aswell just hardier so they do have bolts lol. for speed their at the back they were made to work and pull things their made for work not play. but if im getting a new work quad the polaris sportsman800 would be first because my polaris never failed me yet. but honda would be last because their 4wd is more like 3wd. a bf 750 my be after the sportsman because i no people that had them and they loved them.
