Yes your needle goesw into your main, but both jets on the bottom of carb are the main jets. Did you try to switch them around?

With all the electrical you changed, that part should be ok, when my rectifier/ junk cdi took out my battery it would not even run, and the battery would not take a charge.

Check your pm's.

i just hooked up my old rectifier and the sputtering stopped it now revs but when i let off the gas it shoots out flames dont get me wrong it looks cool but i dont think its good for the bike so is it running lean or rich also does someone out there have a good used rectifier for sale just incase this one goes bad again thanks again for all the help.

i just hooked the supposed bad rectifier and it now decides to work now so im ? dont know what do the bike is running good now but im not sure it will continue to run good for the weekend.

 

Pugads to me it sounds like you are having a carb problem...I think that it is either your jetting or you diaphragm in the carb...What do your plugs look like if you take them out? and has the rectifier made the bike better ...I just read your 2nd update on the bike, wish ya luck.

 

its the rectifier i left on the bad one running for a couple minutes and it started sputtering again do any of you guys know where the main ground wire is so i can check it out. it has to be something electrical beacuse it ran almost perfect when i had the other rectifier on.

something is causing the rectifier to go bad so i want know what it is before i take the bike out this weekend.

one more thing with the bad rectifier if i have it running and gas to were it sputters and switch the lights on it will start rev up like normal but it still sputters a little.

I think your ground connects at the subfame somewhere.I dont know for sure though.
You might want to check you fuel filter on the petcock.It could be clogged.
Have you made sure all your electical connectors are all clean and tight.It could
just be a loose connection.

 

bike running ok but im still getting flames out the exhaust when i let off and when it hits the rev limiter.

 

They have new rectifier for your bike on E bay for 50.00 you could have them over night it from California. Just a thought.
