Default Renegade cvt protection

Is there a way to protect the cvt intake on the Renegade better than it is? I was in some nice mud and water and that front tire slung water into the cvt. It started slipping after I got through. That cover doesn't seem to protect very well. Maybe some kind of snorkel?

Dagum man that sucks. I have no idea but you might wanna have yur bike checked out. I went through about 4 feet of water with my bike last wknd and drowned it out. I just flipped it up and let all tha water drain out and it fired right up and kept on runnin like a champ, I havent had any problems with slippin yet.
