Default Long term reliability

I am just staring to look at getting a utility 4-wheeler. I was pretty much set on the Yamaha 700, untill I started to hear about the Can-ams. My question is how long have these been around? When did BRP start using EFI? What is the long term reliability on these motors, trannys, and so forth? With these motors pumping out so much horsepower, won't that take its toll on the motor sooner that later? Are the Outlanders going to last me 8-10 years? I appreciate any and all information that you all have. Thanks.

EFI has been around for only a few years.

BRP/Can-Am is just another name for Bombardier thats been around for quite a few years.

They utilize Rotax powerplants in their machines which makes for one bullet proof platform.

Hmmm, 10yrs.....maybe....of course that will depend on the preventive maintenance performed on any of their machines.

Good luck with your choice.
