Yesterday I got a 06 Outlander 800 with 330 miles and 41 hrs. On the first ride down the ditch the instrument panel flickered and the service engine light came on. When I turned the key off and on the light stayed off. The I noticed the battery cable was very loose. I tightened the cable hoping to take care of the problem. Well it didn't. The light seems to come on on the rough trail or when the machine bouncing. What could it be?? What should I do??
Thanks
Thanks

My light(check engine) came on during a weekend trip and stayed on for about 2 weeks straight, until I took it in to be serviced. To my understanding, if your check engine light comes on for the scheduled check up time, it will stay on until reset by a dealership or someone with the program to reset it. When I would start the machine up it would read, "Hi, my name," for about 2 seconds, then it would read, "speed," and then it would read check engine. I also had my LIMP HOME mode come on when I first bought it but that was to to with a transmission subtransmission and me shifting from high low or 2wd to 4wd over 10 miles an hour.
