Jeff's transmission would only shift into 3rd gear when it felt like it. So, he had to gear the bike as high as he could to run 1st & 2nd only. He had to manually shift 3rd and sometimes it still wouldnt go into gear.

THEBOM rode his own bike on Saturday.
Eric/MrHp rode Guy/Fast69's bike on Saturday.
1Bigdsrider was not in attendance, neither was his bike.
Drakester was there. But, his bike was not.

I talked with both Eric Oldham and Jeff Ross this morning. They both praised eachother for working as a team. They both had a terrible race weekend but they got some other issues worked out that are even more important than racing.
Eric was running 4.1's consistently until his chassis let go. The chassis is fine and it turns out it will be about a $200 repair and it will be right this time. No more problems like this one according to Quick16.
Poor Jeff didn't have his good motor, it ran into a leanout and detonation due to temperature at the clash......which it didn't give him any indication of that so he found out that he had problems only a couple of weeks prior to Planet Sand. He put a new 760 in that was sitting on the shelf and the tranny had a problem. He was way off gearing as was mentioned but he ran some extremely impressive times under the circumstances. I asked him about his times and he didn't run the 4.03, he ran 4.3's just to clarify. Extremely impressive for a 760 (not an 830) and manually shifting with a 17 tooth sprocket and a 220 lb pilot! I was impressed!
I worked a few things out with Jeff to and I hope we both got a little better understanding of eachother.
