Hello to all as a new member to the form I would like to say hello and good to be here,
For the question how would I hook up a reverse light so that when I shift it will light up.

Hello and help!!
...makes sense to me...good question! You might easily hook up a light that's toggle actuated wired into your headlight for the time being. A wiring diagram and someone that can read it will answer your question...
