We tried the vent tube in the gas tank. We took it off and we even left the cap off. That didn't help. We then blew in the gas tank to try to force the gas through. nothing.....

We unhooked the plug wires while running to see if one of those was not working. Nothing.

I have some guys helping me with it on monday, I'll try the fuses and more electronics then.

I also want to check the rubber diaphram and the hose between the carb and the engine as well.

ok... We replaced the hose between the carb and the engine. It did have a couple cracks in it. That did not help as far as i know. The diaphram is good. we tried to gap the plugs but we are unsure what that should be. Does anyone know?

ok here is an update.
I talked with the last owner and he told me he was having the same issue. He told me to just hit the starter button when it starts to act up.
I tried this and it work for the short time that the starter was spinning, then it acted up again. So while the bike is running and and it is acting up, I hit the starter and and it clears up for the second that the starter is spinning free.
Any ideas?

 

hey man, i just read a post about that the other day. It told exactly what it was. Problem is I don't remember if it was the CDI or the Regulator. My guess would be the CDI since it is part of the ignition system. Do a search on CDI and see what you can find. Or if someone else knows, chime in .................................................. .................................................. .....................
