@BigJohn
Yeah, this is my first quad. I've rode one once a few years back, thats about all the experience I have on one.
But....
A. I'm 34 and dont' heal as fast as I did as a kid
B. I'm married with two kids and dont have life insurance LOL
C. Outty cost $10k, I won't try anything risky

I dont think i'll do anything stupid. Notice I said "think"
This is mainly for work on my 200 acres. Well worn trails on the mountains behind my property should be easy. Not sure where I will go come hunting season. Once I pick up some fresh Elk track I may get the fever and track them to hell and back. Besides hunting I dont think I'll go off the beaten path into the "thick stuff". Our forests up here are littered with down trees and tree stumps from loggers.

KN filters are a big YES.
see for your self.

I've read alot of forums and seen where some people recommend them with a filter sock. I'm basically just starting to soak all of this in. If the consensus is that I need it, then i'll get it. Just asking for opinions.

Another question.
I've seen here and there on various forums people talking about jetting their intakes or something like that. What in the heck is "jetting"?

hey bud thats why you bought the best. there is no carburator to be jetted. they jet carbs for beter performance in differant altitudes. but you'll not have to worry about this. you got the best fuel injected.
