Default Drag pipes??

Im curious what are all you guys using for pipes when u drag race? I went to a local drag and i now know i need a little more top end power. I had a banshee beat untill 3/4 track and he inched out on me at the end. How do the 3 drag pipes that i know of compare, the HPR slip on, the HPR ugly stick, and the Woods inframe drag pipe in terms of all around power from bottom to top. and if the HPR's are the best, when will i be able to buy one since hpr is down for a while, thanks.

I have always heard that for all out drag racing the ugly stick is tops... you will have to hang tight if you want one though. I've also heard good things about the Woods in frame... especially is you do more than drag. Personally the Woods would be my choice.

The Woods seem to make power earlier but falls off quicker than the Ugly stick.

The Ugly stick carries hp/torque a little longer than the Woods.

Personally, I think they need to make the can/reverse megaphone about 3-4 inches longer on the Woods.

But, I have also noticed there are a couple new Ugly sticks being ran right now.

3-4 inches longer on the Woods set-up I agree would be better to utilize more of the torque of the DS motor, the short system may show a higher peak h/p on the dyno, but that means nothing on the track.

talking about drag pipes though, I think you will see the best over-all gain with a set of dual megaphones similar to what Barker does with the Rappy's.
I run a home-built dual megaphone system similar on my Honda 700+ builds and have very good results with them over any single set-up

How do they run for home-builds Scott ???

Anyone running the dual drag pipes on the DS and what are the results you are finding compared to the singles?

I run dual LTE's and they rock at the top.And thats on 650's and 800's. I would have rather had reverse mega phones but they have not been readily avalible. And the lte's were.

the megaphones are available through several sources, you just have to be willing to do your own exhaust work and install whatever you wish, now how much more power they put out is up for questions, but the megaphones are sure cheaper than canister mufflers and sure will not lose any power tuned properly.
