Simple, the Ds650 stagnated.

Too long without any updates.

Lots of better choices for consumer to choose from.

In my opinion the Ds650 would still be in production if it had gotten lighter and reverse. The power level never was and still isn't in question. Not to mention reliability.

 

This is how many of the DS450's will look...no front fenders or lights. Just add a set of bar mounted Trail Techs or somthing similar and there you go.

That's what I plan to do.

indeed! Can-Am really dropped the ball on the styling. Looks like a chopped up DS250. I like my DS tho, so I guess I could learn to love it. Plus while riding it I wont have to see how ugly it is! Kinda like driving a Pontiac Aztec, from the inside it doesnt look so ugly.

As far as new peeps on this board I kinda hope not in one way. I like the more mature intelligent DS650 owners. Last thing this boards needs is a bunch of bleached haired 17 year old Yamaha riding sissy boys on here.

I'm not sure the Can-Am/Rotax name is enough to stop me from cross shopping the KFX or the always great Honda.

How did you get those pics, TBR?? That looks damn good. Mine would not be set up for MX.
Kind of scared to go out and get the first year.
