Default Renegade 800 X coming!!

I'll complain about my Renegade having a weak frame when it really twist, cracks in half, or buckles from normal riding. I push it pretty hard but haven't seen any reason to think it's weak yet. Then again I don't drive it into trees or concrete walls. I wish it wasn't so squeaky though.

I wasn't insinuating (sp?) anything about the weak frame ... just wanted to have real world experience versus heresay like I've been hearing from a co-workers friend. No biggie though. I have read elsewhere that the exhaust gets awfully hot on the renegade as kas mentions so I may have to buy some exhaust wrap or something to deflect some of the heat. I have to contact my local dealer and see what the deal is with the delays in having an '08 though.

It really is an impressive machine that will go anywhere and keep up with the fastest of them too. Steveo10, been meaning to ask you, does yours start pretty easy in gear? Mine will, but I have to squeeze the lever and push on the brake pedal awfully hard before it will start. Other times it's a little easier. Been thinking about getting different wheels and tires, but haven't been able to find wheels that will fit without changing the overall width.

All of the big bores are going to have heat problems. Even with wrap there is still going to be heat, the engines are just to big and put out to much heat.

I have to apply alot of pressure before it will start, Alot of pressure. Thinking maybe the brakes may need to be bled. I ask the dealer and was told there was no adjustment. At the same time, the brake light doesn't actuate either until I apply enough pressure so it will start.

I spoke with my dealer yesterday and they worked with their rep to come up with a price and a date, but I'm curious if they are just blowing smoke to get me to pay them a $1000 to get one in flight. How long do you think it will take to get one of the 800X's in? They said 90 days but I've been waiting over a month from the original date they provided for a base renegade in an '08, so I'm not holding my breath. If they can guarantee one in 90 days I may go for it, but I'd like some others opinions before giving someone a thousand bucks to sit on for 3 months.
