Camping and riding at Horsfall Beach Oregon?

It's actually both. If the space is not reserved through reserveamerica.com then it is first come first serve. We are headed to Florence next weekend after "reserving" a spot. It's $10 a night for the standard sights and $20 for the larger group sites (plus a $9 reservation fee).

The Dune Guide site has a great link to Google Earth and you can see all the dunes from Satelite.
Coos Bay is where we've reserved a spot on the dunes.
Biggest thing is no booz. Leave it at home or risk a big ticket or getting kicked out.
A few in our group didn't want to deal with that so, they are staying up at the Myrtle Wood parking lot. I'm sure we'll visit them for happy hour.
The camp spaces aren't on the beach but, they are on the sand. Motor Homes probably can't make it out there. I plan on airing down the truck AND trailer. I just don't want to get stuck!
I think it was $79 for the week per spot for us so, those prices sound right. You can have up to 100' of trailer in one spot if I remember correctly. So, split between a few people it is a pretty good deal.
No hook-ups for sure. Total dry camping.

Oregon State Parks has a very informative website on places to ride throughout the state. SEE THIS PAGE and click on the South Coast section on the map to find Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area.
Visitors from out-of-state should also know that a $10 permit is needed for riding on public lands in Oregon. Buy one to avoid a more expensive ticket for not having it. The money goes toward developing more areas for ATV riding in the state, it's good for two years.
More Information and places to buy the permit here.
U.S. Forest Service Website on Oregon Dunes Nat. Rec. Area with info on each campground including which have access to the dunes. Some campgrounds provide ATV access to the beach as well.
Enjoy your trip!

Oregon honors ATV permits issued by other states which in return honor Oregon ATV operating permits, including California, Idaho and Washington. Nevada is conspicuously absent, apparently being the only state bordering Oregon not having established this reciprocal agreement.
