You can take all the "shootouts" and put them in one bucket and you won't have beans.

Yea, too bad you are so far away dvukovic. I would be glad to take that bad boy off your hands. I am sure you would sell it cheap since it is such a 'piece'.

Just one short update on my second CVT belt breakdown on 230 hours...

I got a call today from a Can-Am dealer/service with info on my Outy650. The belt was broken but not disintegrated. They found that the "Outer Half Pulley" from the transmission is about 2mm crooked (1/16 inch) and that is probably one of the reasons why the belt broke down only after 30 hours. I was asked if I want it replaced - of course I do. Funny part comes today when they call me and say that the total for the repair will be about 1200 usd.

The service bill is following:
420280173 Outer Half Pulley ***'y - 380 usd
420932426 Ball Bearing 6205 - 40 usd
715900030 V-Belt - 360 usd
Labor - 140 usd
DHL shipping ~ 270 usd

Total for this service: 1200 usd

Total for all breakdowns (230h): 2700 usd (regular service is not included in this amount)

Sounds like you need more reputable dealers in your area. It's in a dealers hands if they want to take care of you and take a stand against them denying a warranty claim and threatening can-am with whatever is necessary to get you the customer on the trail in an acceptable manner or if they just take your money and run. In your case it sounds like your dealer isn't doing you any justice. Those prices are insane and it is not normal to pay shipping when the dealers usually place orders from can-am every week anyway I know I have never had to pay shipping on anything from my dealer in warranty or not. Sorry to hear about your bad luck though.

The dealer I bought my ATV from and where I service it is one and only dealer in the whole country (Serbia), and he has exclusive selling rights, which means that no one can sell BRP products in Serbia except them...

I don't know why I as a customer should care about warrantly plans, or fight between BRP and dealers, or anything regarding that. I paid for a quality product, I paid a lot in comparing to other similar brands, and I didn't get what I paid for. I will certanly buy another ATV from a reputable manufacturer and forget about BRP overall... And also to mention that I've cancelled my order for GSX snowmobile, and withrawn my deposit... I don't want to have anything else with that company at all... (and a funny thing happend when I cancelled my order for the GSX: because I am a motorbikes fan, and I ride a bike, salesman was constantly trying to sell the Spyder to me, I was like dude are you insane?!?)

This sounds like a BS to me, his English and slang (Dude) are way to polished for a guy living in Serbia.
He has way to many problems that do not happen to Outlanders, I smell a troll! OR
He got the worst Can- Am lemon ever made.

I will take that as a compliment. I went to high school in Missouri as student exchange, and earned my BS at Sierra Nevada College...

Ive said it before the belts have never been much of a issue unless you got 1 of the CVT cover leaks from goin in deep mud. Other than that they have been flawlessly. Payin shipping on a order from a dealer? Weird.

Well he did say the dealer found that the outer half of the pulley was crooked and that could certainly account for abnormal wear on the belt. What I don't understand though is why wasn't that issue covered under warranty since it was likely a manufacturing defect. Not only that he should have been reimbursed for the first belt (and associated service charges as well) after that problem was discovered...

I also suggested that to the dealer, that it must be a manufacturing defect, but the dealer rejected it with an explanation that I have coused the pulley to bend with my driving style (?!?), and warranty does not cover that.

This situation puts blame on both dealer and Can-Am. Dealer is for sure BS-ing me, because any warranty claim he has to cover on his own, and Can-Am is to blame because they dont give a damn about their customers, and if they did they would at least respond to the letters and e-mails I've sent them so far.
