DS fan part # ?
#1
Tonight I noticed my fan seemed to be running slower & I could hear a "cling cling cling" sound. Might be ready to go out. Where is the cheapest place to buy a new one & what is the size & part # I need? Thanks.
ps> Did a search & cant seem to find any thread with exactly what I need in it.

When my fan died I just took it apart and replaced the motors brushes. They are available at most electrical repair shops.
I had to file mine to the right size to fit. It cost around $5 bucks for the parts and a couple hours of time. The most common
reason these fans die are that the wire that connects to the brushes breaks off.
Good luck.

The warranty from Spal is 3 years.
What is the warranty from Fan Man?

wow, 3 year warranty? I never knew that. I've replaced my fan 3 times in 7 years...two of those should've been free!
the-fan-man is simply a spal dealer, if a spal fan is warranted for 3 years then I would hope it wouldn't matter where you get it from, but then again its not always that way.
I suppose we should find out that answer, thanks OMR
