10 Hour Service on Renegade 800
Anyone out there with Renegade 800's, I'm curious how expensive your 10 hour service was.
I know it will very from coast to coast. But, I'm still interested.
I'm waiting for my dealer to get my 08 in, the dealer I use tends to be very high in terms of cost for service.

Depends how thorough your dealer is. Mine just changed the oil/filter, tightened bolts and inspected fluid levels at 10hrs and it was about $80, for my 60hr it was another $80 for more of the same. A full service usually costs almost $200 around here if you have the valves done etc, but I didn't have that done to mine as they have been covering stuff under my warranty and haven't required it, but it varies from dealer to dealer that's for sure. The brute force went in for it's yearly service this year and instead of $175 it was $500 so I guess I won't be going back to that kawasucki dealer again, once bitten twice shy.

Depends on what you and your dealer agree upon as a 10 hr checkup. We agreed that I would change the fluids, he would ck for loose bolts, reflash ECM with the latest BUDS. Cost, zero.
If he says he's going to do what's in the book, mark your maintenance items with a magic marker, ck if the marks are in the same place before you take it back.
My advice, buy a service manual at Parker Yamaha, do your own maintenance. Get an 06 manual, the quads haven't changed, but the price of the manuals, 07 and 08 are ridiculous, even from Parker, but about $40 for the 06 manual.
Edit: I didn't notice you had a Renegade, everything above applies except the 06 manual. Do your own work if you can.
