Default DS 650 Case Savers

What do you use for a case saver????????????

I'm new to the 650 based Bomb motor and the OEM case saver is not very good. Whats out their to use???????????

Would their be any interest in a custom made/production Billet case saver??????????

I know the Sprocket side case on my motor have been beat and fixed. The case saver mounting bolt hole are split and cracked but still hold torgue specs when tightening them. So now is the time to come up with something to use as a case saver.

ANY INTEREST???????????

The only one on the market (that used to be on the market) was the one that Mod Quad and I developed for the DS. Mod Quad dropped all production of DS items here about 6 months ago. I dont know if Glenn is going to work with MQ to make up a batch of those or not -

Marky....
I've seen the ModQuad DS case saver. It's not a whole lot different than the OEM one.
I'm going to come up with something that will work.

BD,

The problem with the stock one is that its thin. The chain pushes to the outside, bending the thin case saver and ripping the out the stock case saver from case thus stripping the bolts.

I suppose anything can fail, but, in my opinion, if you can keep it from bending to the outside, you'll keep the case saver from ripping out of the case.

Titanium casting? Or just build a really beefy aluminum one and combine it with a stout sprocket cover and you'll keep all the chain where it should be. IMHO.
