Default Renegade 800/800x Tire Selection

I have decided that I'm going to purchase the Renegade 800 or 800x and I'm curious what the other owners of the Renegade are using as their tires? I'm sure it all depends upon the terrain/type of riding, but I'm looking for opinions. I have a couple that look good, but I'd like opinion on all tires that match with the type of riding I do, which includes:

1. Med to Hard packed trails
2. Mud/Creek bottoms
3. Harescramble type terrain (rocks, hardpack, rutted, etc)
4. General, including ice for ice fishing

I'm going to end up with the gade but would like your opinions on tire options that match up with the criteria above as I'd like to get it out the door with the right kind of tires and wheels. In addition, is a beadlock rim required ... if so, what's the best option there?

I kinda like the ATR that are on mine, but was thinking about getting a Dunlop Quadmax or Maxxis Razr, I think Fox has a sport tire in that size too. I'm not crazy about getting a different size tire. Wouldn't want to change the gearing at all, very happy with it's speed and power and handling with the 25" that are on it.

Thanks for the replies so far. I was hoping for a few more, but I'm glad to hear that others are liking the default tires. I may end up keeping them and changing the rims out, but I'm always open to opinions, especially from people who have experience with the machine and tire combinations. The rims that I'm looking at are one of the Douglas Bead-Lock Systems.

I really like the ATR's on stock wheels accept for them puncturing easy and the rims bending pretty easy. The ATR's are great in the snow and pretty good on hardpack as well. I just put the 26" supergrips on mine and they actually measure about 28" and are a little more than I was looking for, but now can hang with the guys doing all the hardcore mud riding in our group all depends what you are looking for. If they offered the supergrip mudgear's in 25" with the deeper lugs that's what I would have bought, but .75" tread depth didn't get me the mudding ability I was looking for however if it's not muddy I just run the ATR's and have both ends covered.

I can't say that they don't puncture, but considering the amount of abuse they've taken, I think they're pretty durable. Underflated tires puncture easier than tires that are at least inflated to the recommended pressure. The rims are a little soft, but again considering the amount of abuse, they're holding up fairly well with the exception of a few serious dings and dents. Does the Douglas wheel offset match the stock wheels? I was going to get some of those new ITP SS wheels but was told the offset would make it about three inches wider overall.

Good question kas ... I wasn't sure what the offset was on the various beadlock wheels as compared to the stock. I'll have to call the dealer and see if they can look into it for me.

If anyone finds out that ITP comes out with SS wheels with the same offset let me know. That would be a sweet wheel. With a lifetime structural warranty, it should be able to handle anything you throw at it.

If you want the same offset on a ITP rim as the gades stock rim, watch what width of a tire you go. I went with the XTR's. (26x9x12F 26x11x12R) I wanted to go with a wider tire so i could protect the rims better. But there wasnt enough offset for the front rims to clear the tie-rods. I went with 1" spacers and solved everything

I'm confused, the tire width has nothing to do with the wheel offset. How would spacers decrease the width when the offset has increased the width?
