Default Help What to Buy

I am torn on what to buy. My last atv was a 2003 rincon 650. I loved it, but hated the fact that I would get stuck in the mud because the front diff was unlockable. So I decided my next atv would have a diff lock and a winch. I've been researching different quads trying to decide which quad to buy...I want the ability to plow if I need to, but I like the idea of having something sporty to satisfy my inner child.

I thought I was going to purchase a Big Bear because of the great reviews it got for mudding. (I really like to play in the mud) But I don't want to be dissatisfied for buying a one dimensional quad that is too geared for utility and not for sport.

I'm looking for suggestions on what to buy...(I am currently looking into a Renegade 500) I've also been paying attention to a both positive and negative feedback on the different quads because I want to be happy with my purchase!

Default Help What to Buy

ive had nothing but sport quads in my life and my friend let me ride his outlander 800 xt and thats all it took for me i traded my 2006 450r 70 hrs on it on a 2007 outlander 800 xt.It has the power of a sport quad, slow speed of a utility, and the best feeling mud machine there is,ive had so much fun winching trees, quads that are stuck and rideing my wife at slow speeds too!! It is very comfortible also!I think the 500 is a great buy (BUT) If you want it all id buy the 800XT, what the heck we only live once right?

Thanks for replying. I have actually been researching the outty for the last few days and I think I'm going to go that route. I wish they were a little less money though. Thats what was steering me away originally. Well, you pay for what you get. Did you by chance get to ride a renegade yet? I'm goin to try and ride some quads At World of sports in Decatur on Monday. Any input you have is much apperaciated.

I've read up on the visco lock and I'm impressed so far. Would you be able to shed any light on the CVT that cam am uses. I've read that they have a sealing problem, but the 2008 are sealed better.

Thanks for your time.
