Hey everyone. I took the header off of my DS650 and sand blasted it to get the ugly rust off. I was wondering what other people have done to re-finish the pipes. I don't want them to rust again. Give me all of the ideas you can think of. Thanks.

You could take them and get a good powder coat, or even have them chromed....

You may be right. The stuff that I thought was rust could have been really old caked on dirt that was a rust color. So I'll put the header back on and hope for the best. Thanks. I would like to powder coat it but I have heard that it doesn't stand up to the heat very well.

Stainless???? Mine sure rust for being stainless steel....ceramic coating is all you will ever need to keep it looking good....powder coat will flake off.

I have a set that were ceramic coated and it has flaked between the head and around the bend after around 40 hours of use, my stock set never rusted at all, even with going to the Oregon Dunes and having it on the beach.....

I sanded mine and spray painted them, 1200* high heat spray paint, no problems so far

you can either chrome it, or you can get it ceramic coated the best is to keep it clean after each ride
