It depends on what you want to do with it.
I have a Garmin 76csx. It is a super good unit. It's a high end unit but I use it to plot my route on vacation and find businesses and stores and whatever I need. In other words I use it for other things besides trail riding.

Super good color map and directions. Big screen. Easy to read in dirrect sunlight. VERY hard to loose lock on this unit. 50 zillion features.

The base maps are junk. Buy city select or the quad maps. They are very good. The city select has lots of trails on it. At least mine does. Kinda shocked me.

Sorry, I don't know anything about the units you were recomended.

The only info that I can add is make sure it can withstand some good G force and have a really good mount (like a RAM mount). My bro had a GPS and every time he hit a bump the G force would cause the whole thing to start searching for sats again. And it wouldnt find any if he was traveling. If you find a GPS that can withstand 9 Gs, your good. Also, the GPS is no good if you cant find a decent mount. RAM mount makes a ton of mounts for various GPSs. They work good, and I've had good luck. My GPS is a cobra, I only use it for riding and nothing else. It works for me and is probably the minumum needed for ATVs. Also, its got a really cool top speed hold indicator - A great way to see what your top speed is without look at the darn thing the whole time. Race, finish, and look. There is your top speed. I really believe in these things on quads especially in areas that are large.

Once I was at Coos Bay oregon riding with the Owner of MOD QUAD. He lost his keys somewhere on a 5 mile ride (we rode everywhere) we had together. I mapped the whole trip, so we simply back tracked exactly where we rode and found the keys after only about 15 minutes of riding! That paid for itself right there! There are many other uses, you'll find them all if you get one. Once your hooked, you'll love them!

Been using the Rino 120 for about a year now. Nice unit and not too expensive. Got all you need for riding including the radio. updates the positions of other users in your group, so if you get seperated you can hook up again.

I use the Magellan Explorist 500. It's a good solid unit. Very rugged and sturdy. The software is great and when I bought it they had a promo going on with free base maps. I use it in the city and is good enough for turn by turn directions if you are lost. Has Speedometer, altimeter and is pretty good. I would get the rechargable battery from Magellan. This little device has got me back to camp a number of times when i had no clue where I was. Did I mention it's rugged? I accidently hit the release clamp while riding and ran it over with my back tire only got a scratch on the back. Very happy with this device.

I have a magellan 500LE, and love it. It is waterproof, durable, and the mount for it holds it to my ATV very securly, and visible without blocking anything.
