Default Quick DS650 Question

New Here, great forum... I myself have an 08 YFZ... My friend on the other hand has an 01 DS 650... He took it to some shop to have some work done to it and last night when we tried starting it, we notice it was kicking oil out of this little hole where I konw some kind of Tubing goes... All we need to know is where it goes... The little hole is in circled in yellow below...

His doesnt have the hose attached like the bike in the pic does...
Thanks in advance...

That is the crankcase breather hose, from the factory it goes from there up and over the frame and comes out on the swingarm. If the shop he took it to removed it, they did a lot of work to get it, since it's about 3ft. long.

Default Quick DS650 Question

Did the old ones really run back to the swing arm? Mine ran up into one of the breather hoses that ran out of the air box and up by the gas tank.......

Cool... Thanks guys... Is there supposed to be a pretty hefty amount coming out of there? The bike would leave like a 6" Round puddle every time we tried to start it...

What kind of work did he have done to his bike? That could be an ok amount, and it could be excessive...

Default Quick DS650 Question

They didnt do anything Internally... Just some carb work I believe... Dont know why it would be missing...

Doesn't really matter though... We took off tonight to only have it over heat and blow all the coolant everywhere... Hes getting rid of it once and for all... Its an 01 and looks like the previous owner didn't take very good car of it...

Thanks for all your replies!
