A quick note for those who like myself enjoy the convenience and safety of PayPal.
Did you know that they can, and do take back payments made to you for several reasons?
Thankfully I have not had it happen, but others have had problems with this. What makes it even worse is that not only did you have to do anything wrong, but many times it ends up messing up your entire checking account (good reason not to use your normal account for paypal etc) due to the unanounced withdrawal.
I may be off on some of these, but far as I know.
There is no seller protection on international shipments.
Almost any buyer who reports a non delivered item to their credit card can or will cause your accounted to be debited, and then the burden of proof is on you, and the only time I know of that this is not true is when you ship to a "confirmed" address.
Then there is the problem with stolen accounts where your going to end up on the losing end unless you again ship to a confirmed address.
Due to all this BS and all the many schemes to seperate us from our money I only ship to confirmed addresses unless its a really small amount.
Another thing I have found to watch out for is fake money orders. I guess since it is so easy to just make them up on your computer that some knuckle heads decide to do jus that. So if you decide to deposit any mo's make sure you wait for them to clear just like a check.
Its sad we have to deal with this crap, but even the most well intended people have to cover their asses so that we dont lose them.

I am also curious if you were thinking on alerting the business owner that his allowing the use of his ups account as part of the theft that he is legally part of it as well? Remind him that the fact that this employee has not been terminated etc proves his acceptance, and involvment.
I would deffinately try that and see what it in combination with any official contact (fbi or otherwise) does to get him involved in correcting the situation.
Would bet it lights a real fire under his **** to pressure his employee to do the right thing.
You should really consider trying that.

Dont worry im a HUGE fan of paypal and have been a user for 4+ years. I have had to have payment refunded to me (via paypal) a couple times and it is a nice feature. The problem is not everyone has paypal. This is less apparent these days now that more online businesses and the like take paypal, but still it sucks when people dont have it!

anyone with a checking account or a credit card can pay you via paypal.
Its also really easy to set up too
Only real problem is there fees are really high (nearly double the normal credit card fees as a merchant).
