Default axles axles axles

do to my unfortunate luck with axles I have come across something great! after bending my stock axle and breaking a RAD Ti axle "yes breaking" I have found the a 250r axle will work on the ds!!!!!!!!!

heres what you will need

the axle will slide into the ds carrier with ds bearings but needs 250r seals

you will need ALL 250r hubs

the 250r break rotor is a little small but will work with the ds caliper

heres the kicker, the sprocket hub is 1/2 too far to the right, so half inch spacers will be needed. but thats not the kicker yet. because the hub is so far over, at suspension bottom out the hub will hit the battery box!..........so what I did was cut and moved the battery box over!

What is the advantage? Cost? Weight? If weight, how is strength?

Good info.

The only thing i don't care for is the spacers to line up the sprocket. All that torque will be trying to roll those spacers and longer bolts over. I would use as wide a diameter spacer as you can.

The only advantage i can think of is how readily available 250R axles are.

wouldn't also be easier for getting 520 rear spockets in steel or alum.
