There are no stock quads that will run over 80mph.Even re-gearing the DS,it will not get into triple digits.The DS will run around 70-75mph stock.Fellows dont believe all of them 100mph stories you hear.

 

Qwoder, I have a hard time believing that since when I ran stock gearing and 22 inch tires with no mods I hit 94mph. Another 6mph could easily be reached with diff gears. Unless your talking stock gearing and stock tires then I would say you are correct, but off about 10 mph. My DS when brand new stock would do about 81-85 mph.

What I don't understand is how you guys all say completely different things about the speed of this machine. One of you says 91 the other says 75? I don't understand. I'd say a radar gun is the most accurate way of determining speed. 1st: Let the driver of the DS get it completely TACKED out, like it can not get any faster. 2cnd: Make sure it is a STOCK machine, not any different tires or gearing, seems how thats what Noodlez_DS650 wanted to know. 3rd: Get the speed and convert it to KILOMETERS per hour. That's what he asked for right? I'm not trying to accuse any of you of lying or anything, I'm just interested to know this as well, the right answer. Someone do this and then tell us what the speed is. I'm sure that the speeds differ in the different models since 2000, so tell the year as well. Thanks.

 

92 stock???? Nope sorry. 80 maybe. I had a preddy with some work, It went 83. I raced a stock DS650 and he couldnt get me on top end at all. I am aith Qwoder, 75. Maybe 80
