I've seen many listings of this issue with the DS650, I thought it was the guys who rode there's hard and put it away wet. I guess I'm one of those guys. I was out Sun with the boys and fell victom to this. God awful noise! A friend of mine took it to work(you know who you are, Thanks) and made me a new one from some good hard stuff. I'm going to clue my dealer in and maybe even e-mail the company.

Also, I just ordered a rear set of 21x12x10 mud sharks, has anyone tried these on there's? I bet with the power and traction I'll have, I'll be unstopable to the stockers.

I can not believe that Bombardier has not fixed this problem with the DS. They know by now that this is a notorious problem on the DS.My chain roller went out in the first Hour of riding, and my dealer put one on that was alot harder and was a little smaller. So far.so good.

This is really strange to about all these chain roller problems. Ive had my DS for 9 months and have never had a problem (knock on wood!). Did you guys adjust your chain correctly? I know that my dealer didnt. They had it way to tight. To adjust it the rider is suppose to sit on it and then you should have 3/4 to 1" play in it. Maybe I'm lucky?

Guess i should be knocking on wood too, mine has not broken either. Well I did mess with the chain adjustment too, but my dealer had it way too loose as if there was a gorilla sitting on it. Hope I'm not cursin my self with this. Have fun and ride hard!

The roller just melted the core then broke in two. Was racing in snow when it happen, I was sitting way back to put weight over the rear tires. Don't know, I just know that it happened to me and others.

Whats you order? I got a call today from my dealer telling me my k&n power kit just came in(ordered with my bike 7 weeks ago - back ordered).

I've been looking into a pipe kit, but the $400 plus they want for them is a little to much. But I did talk the wife into letting me get a set of mud sharks (21x12x10) for the DS. Ain't it hell, went from a mother to a wife - any still have to obey.

I ride in dirt mostly too, no sand near here. The tires were $179 +shipping from RockyMountain. Sorry, I forgot the rims. Douglas 190's.
