well we just got the first snow storm of the year here in utah and it got me thinking. does anyone have any info on a 2wd track system with ski's up front.
and if so is it worth the money to even consider it.

 

Get a hold of member lhamagedon. He is the only one I have seen run a track system. Currently is for sale on ebay.

Ends in a couple of hours though.

I also want to get this kind of setup for snow (but i highly doubt that my 250 would be able to turn tracks even at 10mph) So i wonder if it might be better to just get paddles so you dont spin as much in the snow and either skis or high flotation tires up front (maybe the stock rear tires? or bald 20x11-9 or 22x11-9 rear tires)

MajorEcho I would love to see a DS busa or Gixxer with a track and ski set up. That could make for a good winter ride[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

lol, I bet that if SST got a track/ski setup he could completely destroy even the biggest sleds like the 8-900 2's and rx1's or apex's

 

a company called kTracks make kits for 2 X 4 sport quads! videos of it are also on youtube!

 

I can't remember the young mans name but he was from canada and he had a set just like your describing some of the old timers might remember him he and his brother shared the quad he had the wosrt luck with the quad but the system he said worked great.Good luck

 

where did you see this set-up at? I'm not from canada but, my bro and i did show it to soucy/kimpex up in quebec back in 2000!
